Helping transform children’s futures….
Creating new possibilities for success

Founded in Dallas in 1920, Salesmanship Club Youth and Family Centers is well-known for its work with troubled and at-risk kids and their families. Through our therapeutic services, families come to us to discuss a variety of issues including challenges at school, conflict and communication problems, depression/anxiety, divorce and blended families, sexual, physical and emotional abuse.

Our focus on strong, healthy relationships extends into education. Our J. Erik Jonsson Community School demonstrates the benefits of early intervention by partnering with low-income families to offer an enriched, engaging elementary school education for children from age 3- 5th grade. For the last three years, the Jonsson School has met Texas Education Agency criteria to be recognized as an Exemplary School.

The Science Goes to Camp program extends our reach into urban public schools in Dallas. A hands-on earth and life science curriculum is shared with 4th and 5th grade students and their teachers, culminating in a day of learning at the Club’s 1,400 acre camp in East Texas.

In addition, Salesmanship Club is a dynamic, learning organization with a value for training, research and innovation. We host a steady stream of graduate-level interns and pre-service teachers as well as national/ international speakers for community training events catering to educators and mental health professionals.

Uplift's mission is to create and sustain public schools of excellence that empower students to reach their highest potential and inspire a lifelong love of learning, achievement, service, and responsible citizenship.

Each school provides free college preparatory education in a community that has limited high quality public education options. Our goal is to completely CLOSE the achievement gap between students, regardless of their ethnic or socio-economic background, while ensuring that 100% of our students graduate and enroll in college.

The purpose of the Rise School of Dallas is to provide the highest quality of early childhood education services to children with Down syndrome or other developmental disabilities and to children without disabilities by:

  • Providing exemplary services based on recommended practices to young children with diverse abilities and their families;
  • Offering instructional opportunities through collaboration with various academic programs at local colleges and universities;
  • Engaging in research that positively influences practice in the field of early childhood education at the local, state and national levels;
  • Interfacing with the community through outreach and public awareness activities;
  • Disseminating information and providing technical assistance to other community based agencies;
  • and Affecting policy and systems change at the local, state and national levels.

Elizabeth Toon Charities is founded on the principles of faith, hope and love. We are committed to being good stewards of our funds to make the greatest impact on the people, organizations and communities we support. We are a Christian-based, non-profit organization that appeals to young adults and companies that are passionate about helping children in need.

We strive to build long-term relationships with the donors, volunteers, members and partners who support Elizabeth Toon Charities and aim to instill a love-centered philosophy in the lives that we touch.
